That is scary. I hope any would-be highschool shooters out there are reading this. I'm in 10th Grade right now, and I've been a bit of a "nerd" all my life. But the answer is not to join a gang, exclude yourself from the rest of the school, then blame the rest of the kids that you were excluded. The problem with today's American culture is that people won't accept blame for their actions. If they murdered somebody, but they didn't plan the murder out, they plead insanity. Those two boys committed a premeditated murder. . . no, MASSACRE, and who do they blame? The victims! No, it wasn't THEIR fault they made pipe bombs, shot up their high school, and were racist. It was the fault of those they shot! Is that the way people look at things? I know there will probably be repeats. DenverTechie was right when he said "the copycat problem was inevitable." Look at how much attention we've given those kids! Though, frankly, I haven't seen even a photograph of the killers, and I never even heard their names until I read that post, and I hope to forget them soon. But their warning should be heeded. I know the mentality of those kids. . . I've had random thoughts equating theirs flowing through my head. But I've recognized them as crazy (yes, insanity is CRAZY, not HEALTHY like the Trenchcoat Mafia would like us to believe) and dismissed them quickly. From what I've heard, they were smart kids, and it's a shame that such brains would be wasted on a stupid publicity stunt. But that note does mean something. I would guess it will be the name of the next High School to be hit, but I'd bet they ran it through an encoder so many times it could be deciphered as the name of about any high school in the country, just as easily as any other. For those of you who haven't got the "teenage nerd" mentality, I'll help you out. Those kids wanted to be able to think they gave everybody a chance, but that they were too stupid to figure it out, though I'd bet the killers couldn't have deciphered a similar code in years. I'm not sure how much these guys were into computers, but if you read the "hacker's manifesto" by some guy named the "Mentor" it'll give you an idea of what these kids probably felt like.

Anyway, I'm glad I heard about that, and I'll be watching my back on the 26th.
