Again - there is no comparision . EBAY was never a company that entered the NASDAQ via the back door thru the purchase of a shell company. EBAY had been followed by Mary Meeker - and was brought in the front door - they were IPOd by Morgan Stanley.

Please show me a viable internet stock that agreed to a discounted convertible , that had a prayer of being courted by one of the big firms. It couldn't be for lack of trying - these firms make a significant amt of their capital from bringing young internet companies public - they are searching for them every day. And frankly - I want to be long the internet stocks where their research has shown they are worthy of the big firms attention .

One very important caveat to remember about the nets - " the strong get stronger and the weak get weaker"

>>>With RareMedium you are buying tomorrow, not today. Look at the caliber of mgt. they have attracted who are betting their livelihoods on it. <<<<

Your spin is glowing but if following some big names to the boards of various public companies were a reliable source of investment advice, this would be simple.

Do you have any idea of the compensation given to 'names' who become employed by virtual startups, or who end up as a board memeber?

Note that Soros was an investor in IAIC about 2 years ago....
