What's Happening L&H wins customers and awards at Comdex 98 More than 220,000 computer and electronics professionals came through the doors at this year's Comdex Fall Expo in Las Vegas. Many of them were in the standing room only audience at the Convention Center on opening night to hear Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates declare that “the PC is not standing still” and confidently predict that “the best is yet to come.” L&H was joined by 10 of its Technology Partners at Comdex. Ericsson, Telekol, AVT Corporation, Arial Systems, Baypoint Innovations, and PIKA joined the growing ranks of telephony developers that use L&H text-to-speech technology and automatic speech recognition. L&H also demon-strated its RealSpeak synthesized speech technology, Popeye unified messaging service, and the L&H large vocabulary speech recognition engine for telephony.
