Gunshots fired at UN building in Athens

ATHENS - Two people on a motorcycle fired three shots at the United Nations building in central Athens on Saturday but no one was hurt, police said.

''They fired the shots as they passed outside the UN headquarters and then rushed away,'' a senior police official told Reuters. ''Most probably this has to do with the war in Yugoslavia.''

NATO member Greece is also a traditional Serb ally and polls this week showed that over 90 percent of those questioned opposed NATO's bombing campaign against Yugoslavia.
