Question all -

With the market off and running again to all time highs and the drumbeat that it can't last - again - there is the likelyhood that we will see a "correction" soon.

My question has to do with the possibility of buying some LEAPS now on some very highrated but depressed stocks to position one to write CC's on an upswing or should one wait for a correction to purchase?

Would the correction have much effect on stocks that are already depressed?

Some examples are BBOX, CBRNA, CAG, DF, KWD, MDA and SYMC - all 4 or 5 star stocks off an article on the S&P Personal Wealth site - personalwealth.com

By WINS, buy when down, wait for an upswing and CC.

Question is, buy now or wait?

I read the fine points of your response to my post David. I got the sense that you are actively working your portfolio and the points you made were good. It's good to hear other points of view to keep things fresh. That's great and lurkers should hear about as many trading styles to covered call writing as possible from the people out there who are doing it successfully.

"Different strokes for different folks." We all need to find that niche as soon as possible to avoid excessive losses during that learning curve.

Thanks for your input. I want to update my Powerpoint presentation with both a long and short term view on CCing.
