To All, A guy I never met died yesterday, Rick Rude (Roode). At one time he was a top wrestling draw in the niche right below Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair. He started wrestling in 1984 while I had my last match in 1979. But I knew of him as a bouncer and world arm wrestling champion when I lived in Many No Place (well, I lived in St. Paul, but that isn't a funny name <g>).

Rude was 40 years old and died of complications, or so the rumors go, from using the bodybuilding drug, GBH.

A fine performer and a terrific heel. And he invented many of the over the top sexual innuendo stuff that folks like DeGeneration X and Val Venis are using today. Not my favorite part of his schtick. However, I noticed that when he did his bumps and grinds, everyone said it was gross and ridiculous, but all of the women watching never took their eyes off the screen. <g>

On the subject of competitiveness, I just went to the Dell site to price out a C400 PC with 32MB/6.4HD/56K/Works/Win98 audio/speakers.

It came in at 992 and won't ship before May 10th. Just in time to go against the eMachine C400, 32MB/4.3HD/56K/Works/Win98 audio/speakers for $599.

I keep wondering if I'm missing something here.<g>
