One thing about computers that got me thinking. Allot of people treat computers as a machine that can work forever and nothing will ever happen to it. They never back up data, they never clean all the dust out of the box, never update the BIOS or patch software, don't have anti-virus software installed, if they do, it is usually after a scare like Melissa, and once the virus scare is over they don't update virus definitions.

How come people treat computers like this?

I don't think we are going to see the day anytime soon when computers are like the TV, just turn it on and off. They will always need protection from hackers, and maintenance.

People need to know how to do simple maintenance on their computers, or take to a shop and have it done (but that can be very expensive) better off to learn yourself.

If you treat your car like you do your computer, never change the oil, anti-freeze, never change tires, burned out lights....what to you think is going to happen?

Computer maintenance is simple. Just start learning today.

Just my two cents...now I'm broke!
