There is a practical limit to vertical integration, but Intel's nowhere close to it.

Let's take IBM for example. Do you know of a piece of a data center that they don't make ?

I do not know if the circumstances are still current, but in some of my previous work, IBM had a hard time coming up with a business model that allowed them to make money hosting web sites. I don't know of any companies that are successful at it that do not also have a BIG data transmission business as well (that's where the repeating revenues are).

This Intel thing creeps me out ...
