yeah, that post of Syncrude's kinda made my jaw drop too.

I stated on the Daytrading thread Friday morning that I thought it was going below 3.00 and it certainly looked like it for awhile, but as usual, MCF turned around and kicked me in the butt again..LOL

I'm really quite happy with the upturn for all the shareholders here, I will be looking at buying again this week. I still think its Canada's only true internet stock at the moment. Considering what happened to Bid.com, maybe, Nasdaq isn't such a great idea, until its better established. It appears only Canadian internuts on the Nas must have earnings and be able to prove themselves. A double standard..

Anyway, that is only my opinion..

Tim,

On the contrary. The volume figures combined with the trading range shows that this stock attracts short term speculators. I can't envisage INVESTORS going all out on this one, until MCF has demonstrated that it can and will attain the critical mass needed to succeed in e-commerce. No matter how many press releases that are put out, including the once touted NASDAQ listing (ever imagine just how many stocks are listed on NASDAQ?), the market is not giving high marks to MCF. It may yet surprise us, but right now I just don't see it.

Tim, your quote on GLE as a very active stock, is a very good example. We all saw what happened to GLE which only announced a 2 year trial! It went up unreasonably high and then crashed. I think you will agree that being high on the list of most active stocks is not always a good sign. Especially when you look at the recent trading range for MCF. It would be too bad for MCF if the market's expectations were to be too high. As you know, the slightest disappointment (even if the expectation was unrealistic) will punish a stock severely.
