Steve, IMHO that to assume that EMC's system concept is wedded to magnetic storage is grossly underestimating the company, just as would be assuming that it will never move beyond fiber channel as its I/O-communications medium. Of course. Corollary would be IBM or HP using the best technology microprocessors in their servers, whether current CMOS, or a Silicon on Sapphire, or "organic" logic. BTW, CMOS has a long, long ways to go before something else comes along. Tony
