SargeK, I quickly glanced at the numbers and I notice that the price weight is proportional to the price of the stocks. For example, SLB at $80 is twice the weight of BHI at $40, and the weight of TDW and HAL is about the same (they are about the same price on that table) so the price weight is proportional to the price. This means that the index is not capitalization weighted. Is this correct? Or put differently, is the price weight on the table you showed is meant to be the weight on the index or it was just a simple calculation of the proportionality to the index based on the price? May be the Philadelphia exchange webpage have the answer. If I have time, I will check it. Thanks
