I once heard a rumor that some guy knew a person who had heard of a fellow who had successfully run an on-board sound chip.
(Please note that this is not first-hand information)

AGP should not be a problem... I've run that myself in the past with no special tweaking.

Soundblaster Support?

developer.soundblaster.com

Welcome to the Creative Linux support page. We have added this page as the first of many steps towards supporting the Linux community. Below you will find links to useful web sites, drivers that are available from Creative, and a feedback button to send comments to the developers of the drivers. In addition, we have started a newsgroup to be used for supporting any of the questions that may come up from driver installation.

The drivers from Creative are currently not supported through our technical support staff.

Report a bug with our Linux Drivers
If you have any problems with our Linux drivers, please
send us feedback at linux_bug@soundblaster.com
stating the problem, the version of the driver, the version
of the kernel, and the distribution that you are using. We
will try and reproduce the results here in our labs, and
then send a response back to the user with a cc: to the
newsgroup. Right now we are predominantly supporting
Redhat in house, and are looking at ways of expanding
support for other distributions.
