No, I probably wouldn't be amazed at all, although you and I would probably agree on the number of people who prefer a K6-2.

But let's face it. AMD has not made any money in the low-end retail market. As Paul would love to tell you, the more AMD sells to el cheapo boxmakers, the more AMD loses. And integrated chipsets are targeted towards el cheapo boxes, the very market that AMD has to de-emphasize in order to make a buck.

Ironically, if AMD does begin to move out of the low-end, then all those new integrated Super 7 chipsets are going to be DOA. So either AMD is screwed, or these Super 7 chipset guys like Ali, Via, and SiS are screwed.

All this is because of AMD's limited capacity.
