Mani,

RE: AMD responsibility for its failures.

You are right on, only an idiot blames somebody else.

It's like Compaq pissing and moaning about the direct guys etc.

The bottom line is they know they are in a tough business, with a tough competitor and have known this for many years.

Perhaps they will screw up again with the K7 and K3 at 0.18 micron, nobody knows of course.

In fact the odds clearly are that they will screw up.

However, if they can deliver the stock price can easily be 10x where it is now within 12 months.

So yes it's a VERY RISKY investment and certainly not for everyone.

Anybody investing in this outfit should do so with both eyes open and a finger on the sell trigger.

Regards,

Kash J.

Mani, The recent sale that made $500 M might allow for some expertise to forestall yield problems and thus save the bacon. It is all connected, starved for cash they use fewer less capable people, and yet still pay jerry fat wages I bet, with perks too.

Now we wait and see what happens in June/July.
