You're correct... When the Bear comes, it won't take prisoners... But the low interest rate environment and surprisingly robust economy favors the Bullish side for now... As long as those Advancers continue to outpace Decliners the market it will be a good time to be Bullish...

One comment: More and more, as markets go up, IRA / 401K owners have progressively bigger piles of cash to play with. There are no tax consequences to trading, other than commission costs, and bad judgement. At $12/trade (Waterhouse), or FREE in my 401K (36 funds / choices, end of day prices only), I can and have moved a lot of money around pretty fast. I'm encouraged to be a trader.

I've got to believe there are a lot more people in these circumstances every day, and we are "volatility".
