Guess what? Not only are some of the states concerned about online casinos cutting into their lottery revenue streams, but, at least a few are becoming rankled over day trading losses being incurred by mostly novice investors tapping credit cards and margin accounts. Particularly disturbing according to a couple of Attorneys General are ads by Discover Brokerage depicting the dumb as dirt tow truck driver who presumably earned an Island by trading online. Actually, it was a COUNTRY, proclaims the ad! Then there is the teenager with the helicopter on the front lawn who probably was not of legal age to be trading stocks in the first place. Senior Citizens reportedly are also getting their bucks kicked due to not knowing what they're doing.

"What's great for government is apparently evil for the people amongst each other."

To Sen. Kyle and all such hypocritical, do-gooding abusers of power.

"Online gambling may be set to payoff" per CBS MarketWatch, an article by John F. Thorsberg, posted Apr 24, 1999 at cbs.marketwatch.com

The article discusses the Kyl bill, Playboy's (NYSE: PLA) entry into online gambling, and major companies providing technology. It features Starnet prominently, saying: "Among the players in the online gambling world is Starnet (SNMM: news, msgs) (http://www.SNMM.com), a Canadian company that develops, markets and manages interactive media, information systems & gaming technology for the Internet, and also offers adult entertainment, bookmaking & currency exchange. It developed a full-service online gaming system, World Gaming, that processes online wagers on a variety of interactive games of chance from consumers in more than 60 countries."
