My favorite web site for SEC filings is: freeedgar.com

It is easy to search for filings by ticker, etc., and you can create a watchlist and receive an e-mail whenever one of the companies you are following makes a filing.

I also scrutinize the filings, especially 8Ks, 10Ks, 10Qs, 4s (insider buying and selling), etc.

I do look at analyst reports, and sometimes find good nuggets of information, but I am like you: don't trust analysts, whose firms may have a vested interest in seeing the stock go up.

I checked the 10K for PETD filed 3/17/99 and found they have $35 mil in cash or $2.26/shr. What am I missing? Jack
