Hello Robert,

Are you still holding EBAY?

I traded it a while back and ran into you. I should have held Ebay and gone to the beach instead.

take care,
steve

Once again, my comment isn't whether ebay is over or undervalued, or even if it's a good investment (many stocks are overvalued, but still good investments). I find it amusing that a stock can run up 30x in 7 or so months, and people get so caught up in the frenzy that they start declaring world domination. Give me a break.

I've posted here before about shorting, and I'm probably one of the few people on earth that have actually made money shorting ebay. Do I think I'm smart? No, I think I'm incredibly lucky. I feel very bad for the numerous people who have probably lost their life's savings shorting these internet stocks. I don't plan on doing it again unless EBAY's auction count continues to show unimpressive growth. If it doesn't move up over the next month, mid-may will be a good time to consider a short, when the new shares from the secondary hit the market in combination with general insider selling and the normal post earnings lull. Everybody and their brother knows ebay is blowing out earnings tomorrow - but it's no surprise - it was obvious from the auction count growth in Jan/Feb.

As for comparing portfolios, no. You probably have beaten 99.999% of the world's investors. I can't pick 'em as well as you. That still doesn't invalidate my comment .....
