JF,

>> looking forward to Bezo's next brainstorm.

None of these were critical, But I have ordered a book from Shopping.com and received it with no problem. I have several times ordered music from CDnow and received it with no problem. Of course a company can distinguish itself with great customer service. But it is difficult to keep a monopoly on that.

Isn't the next brainstorm groceries ? Now that can really consume $$$ in inventory.

Just a consumer's thought here -- Next time you're in a pinch for a specific book and
AMZN doesn't have it but Barnes says they do, think real hard about whom you can
trust. The customer experience with AMZN vs. Barnes is night and day different,
especially when there's a problem with the order. Try getting a confirmation or any
information from Barnes... either on line or over the phone.....good luck. From a loyal
AMZN customer and shareholder looking forward to Bezo's next brainstorm.

JF3,

My experience has been that Barnes always comes through. They have the resources through their aliances. Amazon on the other hand, emails they will keep looking LOL.

I will trust Barnes of Amazon every day and twice on Sundays. I can even walk in the store if I have a problem and the staff will contact the .com division while I wait.

There is one more issue. I know barnes will be there five years from now. Amazon will not.
