jwk the site we subscribe to at work is energycentral.com - it is a utility industry site that does a pretty good job imo. ( i work in the utility contracting field.) If energycentral.com has an auction svc, i am not aware of it. They have people who comb the industry for energy-related projects that are put out to competitive bid by utilities and government and military facilties managers. Then they list these projects on there web site and they charge $1,300 or more per year just for this one service. There is no online bidding. If we see a job that we are interested in we simply contact the person listed and get the bid specs. Other services they offer, such as daily industry news updates, are avail at additional fees. So for the $1,300, we get only the requests for bids listing, and nothing else.

So i think the $360 for full use of the pnlk services is a bargain.

I also think your thoughts about the pnlk newsletter are right on. It would alert pnlk members of upcoming improvements/enhancements.
