Are you trying to convince us or yourself? Sell if you can't sleep at night with it in your account. My reasons to hold/buy: - LZR is the leader/biggest player in it's field. - none of the other companies listed have the same growth prospects, therefore lower PE's. - forward P/E, not trailing P/E is what you use to value a stock. Stocks are not valued based on what has already happened, rather what is expected to happen in the future. - Top brass still owns a lot of shares. Insider selling is rarely a reason to sell. They could be selling for any reason - investing, estate planning, etc. Guys like Bill Gates sold MSFT many times in their early years. Other than insider buying, insider trades don't provide much info. It does however provide a story for the media. - stock offering will provide much needed cash, cash that can be used to buy market share/competitors. Dilution effect is only around 10%. - LZR is divesting of money losing managed care business. - non-recurring charge is just that - non-recurring. Flagged as an extraordinary item and not of great consequence in a fundamental analysis. - what rumors of fraud??? - demographics, demographics, demographics. Huge untapped market with bit-players as competition. - market isn't concerned about valuations/PE's right now. It's all about perceived growth. - if new technology does come along, LZR likely has a greater ability financing wise to implement it. It's the smaller player with limited capital that would be hurt. - spread IS often wide on the stock and large swings are possible, but look at it the other way - the chance is maybe greater then for a split which would narrow the spread and allow smaller investors into the stock. - people "like" the technology. Laser eye surgery is just becoming commonplace it will become more and more accepted as people come to feel comfortable with the procedures.
