Selfop,

As someone who has been around this stock since August of 1995, I first have to say that I have seen many people come in over the years and trash this company. This company has a long past record of starting and stopping. Whenever a company changes directions the shareholders who bought the stock have to decide if they are willing to follow the company in their new venture or sell the stock and move on. I faced that choice in 1995 and 1996 and have sat and waited for the company to get it's act back together like it appears to be doing now. I would have to say that if anyone wants to tell me I could have done better with my money in a mattress over that time I will say that I removed my original investment in one of the past run-ups, and I hold free shares which is the only way to play a high risk stock.
The reason I stuck around is that Joe Naughton is a fighter, not a quitter. There are many people who start companies but few that succeed. Even more rare are people who fail and try again. The Internet over the next few years will be like the Wild West. Just like when new towns sprung up overnight back then, new companies will spring up overnight and disappear just as quick. Back then many people invested or lent money to the winners and losers of that era, just like will happen today. There were real companies and carpetbaggers then, and there will be the same thing now. If none of that happened you never would have had the railroads built.
All that said, my opinion is that Joe Naughton will work as hard as he can to succeed in this venture. As a Chicago person I hope he is more successful than the former coach of the Bears who also worked as hard as he could, but didn't have the tools to win with. I can say that the company is not a pump and dump and that the current excitement is related to the masses looking for the next Internet super stock. I can't say much else. Time will tell. At least I know that Joe Naughton will come out swinging.
