Discounted Convertibles

Mary, relax. I have a sarcastic wit. It's my nature. Don't take it personally. If I was intent on flaming, you'd know it. Trust me! ;^)

FWIW, my DD was honest (#reply-9128294). I do have some experience with these convertibles, ya know? Ignore them at your peril. If you don't believe me, take a gander at the following site. It'll tell you everything you ever wanted to know about discounted convertibles and then some.

members.aol.com

Typically, I call a spade a spade. However, in this case, as a gentlemanly gesture, I can ask SI Bob to pull the post if you find it offensive. Only at your request, of course.

Just do me a simple favor. Please don't shoot the messenger, OK? Especially after asking for help. And most especially on this thread.

Best of luck with your holdings.

Razor

Mary,

If by '20 bagger' you mean it has increased twenty fold from your purchase, congratulations!!! One thing that would make sense if you have that kind of gain, particularly if have some concerns, is to sell part of your position. That way you can get your original capital out and are just playing with house money.
