The mother of all short squeezes now that would be fun!! But my gut says there's more to this than just Yorkton's sour grapes. It is greed at it's worst.

If Americans get behind BIDS and keep buying up all the stock, the Canadian shorts (if there are alot as I'm assuming) will get wiped out.

Remember the Americans are usually 20x as strong as the Canadians when it comes to any comparison of business markets etc. If the Americans decide they want the world's biggest short squeeze, they could do it with no problem. They just have to decide to do it. I hope it happens.

Even though we can't find the real Canadian short position through official records, I think if we go through the daily house positions we can estimate what the actual short position might be. Of course we would have to look through reports for every day for several months to arrive at a reasonably accurate figure.

Somebody has been posting the Canadian house positions on a daily basis on this thread. Where do they get that? Is it still through Canada Stockwatch? Do you need a subscription to check the historical daily positions? I think it is worth looking into. This would take many many hours so we should make a plan to get it done. We need this information. Could prove to be very fascinating and maybe even incredibly profitable. I'll look into it more tomorrow.
