Mary,

The sad truth is that the 'innocent, wishful shareholders' never get out in time. The sweet soothing con men and the inner voice of greed always seem to find a way in to keep us in a bit to long.

Also I have a number of friends on some threads who have said words to the effect that 'yes I know I've been conned and (fill in the blank) is a sleaze ball but you know he is going to hype this dog again and then I can get out'. I know that is not what you are saying but the problem with this is two fold. 1 you can't ride the Tiger, this is their game and they play it better than us. 2 just because I've been conned is no reason to want to see some other schnook come along and bail me out by making a mistake of his own.

Henry

I realize you're joking, but even so that's a badly flawed statement. What you really mean, of course, is "until we've succeeded in passing this loser on to a Greater Fool". Does that strike you as being an admirable sentiment?

In fact someone on the CYGS thread did PM me once, complaining that if I'd only "waited" to post the Skillern stuff until the stock had gone over 1.50, he'd have been out and home free. He was perfectly serious.

Of course, had the stock actually held over 1.50 he'd have been buying more, not selling. And encouraging others to do the same, no doubt excitedly announcing that it was "consolidating for the next big run".
