Take your questions to COMPUTER LEARNING thread here on SI. They are a great bunch over there and your questions are answered quickly. You might also read post 3020 which was written to me last Monday. It is over two pages long and details what I should get in a special built computer. Hope this helps.

<<If I keep on getting "buffering" msgs when I try to play a radio station, does that mean not enough memory or what? >>

No, it generally means a problem with the network. Maybe not enough bandwidth between your machine and the server. Maybe data getting dropped on the network. Could also mean the server is too busy and not able to send data fast enough.

I am 99% sure it is not a problem with the client machine.

Tom and Tunes

It is partially a problem with the speed of your connection, but barring that you can get a cable modem to fix that today, check your preferences or options (if IE or Realmedia Player) and reset the prebuffering size to more or less than whatever it is now. IGenerally if you have a faster connection you stream the data at faster rate and don't need a buffer. If you have a slower connection, you seta smaller buffer and it doesn't tax thee system to cache and load it incrementally. In any case, if you are going to listen to TV or Radio on your machine, Nandu is correct that it really is more of a connection speed issue than a client-side problem.
