*OT*I am certainly not standing up for Hitler LOL. My point is
that these are complex issues, and "you can't judge a book by it's cover".
It is very frightening to me when we, as a society, can place the blame of all our troubles on one obvious cause. This leads to the attempted control (often eradication) of this segment of society. Right now in this country we are letting rapist and murderers out of prison to make room for drug offenders, many of whom do not belong there, IMO. We should save that room for those dangerous to society.
As for these shootings being the parent's fault, if one could write a book on what a parent does to cause this, I am sure the world would be at your door. The fact is, we DO NOT KNOW. Until you can predict the results from certain conditions, a causal relationship is difficult to prove. You may have learned that in school also. Called logic.
Could these parents have been singled out before this shooting, by the way they treated their kids? I doubt it. If there were obvious signs of abuse, neglect, they should have been dealt with.
But if they are similar to the other parents, I think we need to look at what caused these particular kids to go over the edge. Why not other kids in similar circumstances?
The world is a complicated place and it is our nature to try to simplify it. But the fact is, simplifications often cause escalating problems. We should try a little harder as a species to learn from our mistakes.
Creating scapegoats is a feel-good simple solution.
You, as an expert on Hitler, could tell us much on his use of the Jews as scapegoats.

OK, off my soapbox, you all know how I feel on THAT subject, lol.
oh, one more thing.......GO FORE. and SUNW, IATV, FNHC, APCC, TPEGP.
