SS - it's all too easy to lump three vaguely related items into the same moral dilema - the situation in Kosevo isn't black and white - can hardly be put into the same basket as the shooting at the school or an accident with anaesthsetics(sp). The Balcans is as usual a mess - I'd like to know what you and others would be saying if NATO hadn't intervened and the ethnic cleansing had gone ahead? No doubt you would be blasting Clinton for doing nothing and standing by while people were being driven from their homes, raped and killed? EDIT "Scared to fight then - scared now"?The fact is that these things have happened anyway - may even have been accelerated - but make no mistake about it they would have happened, as they did in Bosnia. The only hope is that people will be able to return to their homes and villages, and there will be aid for reconstruction. The choices people in power have to make are often hard - almost impossible - the criticisms from the back seat are often facile, and benifit from hindsight, and, as usual, 20/20 vision. dd
