<Off topic> At present, I am learning about glide ratios. GR = Lift/Drag. I don't think jumping off a mountain is a drag therefore I think my glide ratio will be outstanding <ggg>!!! I guess I like cheap (really paragliding is not inexpensive... so I shouldn't call it "cheap") thrills!!! It's Sunday morning... light breeze out of the north... very clear skies... perfect for the first flight off of Blueberry Hill!!! The twins (they're naturals under the canopy) and I are scheduled to have an uplifting experience this morning. Blue Skies.. My apologies for those who don't like off topic conversation on a thread. I'll take it private from here forward. However, I must say that paragliding and Abacan have some metaphoric similarities. Faith is an important part of the formula but being well educated is also the best path to success. If anybody acquires any gems close to the fire about meetings in Africa per Pete's question, please advise! Regarding stealth flights... somehow, traveling 25 mph under a large paraglider wing doesn't seem terribly stealthy to me <ggg>!!! But that won't stop me from packing a paraglider when I travel to points yonder!!! Paul L. Craig
