the fact that is has remained this way this long shows that GNET has not paid attention to refining its' services.

I agree. It has been a slow process. But it brings up one of the interesting things about this supposedly virtual world: At its heart, it isn't all that virtual. Small companies still work best when people interact with one another face to face.

The comments on the upgrade threads suggest that one of the factors slowing down the upgrade was the need to move SI's people from their original east coast location to Seattle. Go2Net is small enough that it makes sense to put all or most of their properties together in one place since physical proximity can create greater synergy among the properties.

But moving people is slow and expensive. GNET's management seems to have a good handle on the "expensive" part, but there's not much they can do about the "slow" part.

Offshore: I'm impressed!

I've never seen this before in other threads, anywhere - someone who posts an excuse admitting error. That, in my books, is pretty big and worthy of notice. I seem to remember that all of the posters I've seen who grossly get out of line simply adopt a defensive stance and forever fight for their point. I believe this simple post will erase a lot of negatives and likely make you an appreciated poster here, if you decide to be ;-)

Regards,

Dany
