I am a woman. I have about half my stock portfolio in IATV which I have been purchasing for the last year and a half (remember, Art, I thanked you for turning me on to the stock on the Zenith [r.i.p.] thread). I won't deny the demographics, but I will deny the stereotyping.

Art,

Disagree with what? That I felt you were being insensitive? There's nothing to disagree with, my feelings are my feelings.

What's demographics to one person is stereotyping to another, and as a woman I really took offense to your comment.

Though I very much appreciate your contributions on this thread, you might want to quit while you're ahead:

Women tend to be more conservative in their invetsments so I see this as bullish. They also do most of the family shopping and if
they like the idea of buying with an interactive set-top thats also bullish.

Give me a break.

That's never been my impression.

Go to the trading room of any Wall Street investment house. You'll be surprised how many of the traders are women. The proportion is far higher on the trading desks than on the institutional sales desks.

Here on SI a large number of the best traders are women. Many of these are anything but conservative. Which is not to say they are not disciplined.
