BANCHEE: Took a quick look at TPEG. Gotta wonder where the money is coming from for these Internet "investments". TPEG was sporting a negative cash balance as of 12/31/98 of around $400k. The comment about Goldman bringing MCY.com public "in the coming weeks" appears to be a complete fabrication since I can't find any mention of MCY.com on the EdgarOnline or on the Alert-IPO! websites. Can't come public in "weeks" if you have not yet bothered to file an S-1. Pacific Softworks is going to be underwritten by Spencer Edwards & Co. Can't say they ring any bells. Appears that their only other IPO was an outfit with the ticker RCOM...now trading for pennies on the BB. I could go on but I think you get the picture. I do notice that TPEG closed up 53% on Friday. When the pump is done the dump will surely follow. If they can get this thing above $7 or so it's probably worth shorting.....with impunity. drakes353 <edit> Oh, I see Auric Goldfinger is all over this one. Guess I'll bide my time and see what develops. Lots and lots of morons out there, who knows how high they will take this one.
