What I find really interesting about this article is that most US analysts have given up when it comes to Internet Stocks valuation. While everyone knows that they are overvalued, US analysts are comfortable with the present valuations. Aol is overvalued and yet just received an upgrade from a major brokerage house to buy at over $200/share.
My point is, you don't see US analysts downgrading ANY internet companies based on the theory of being overvalued. They may however downgrade them now and then, then upgrade them again.
The Canadian analyst downgraded Bid.com based on being overvalued and published what he thought the company was worth just as this article states about other internet companies.
None of the big brokerage house analysts have yet to come out and downgrade any inet stock as Pavon did. The difference is that US analysts are more opened minded to future earnings of inet stocks, given the massive growth of the Internet.
I wonder who this person Pierre Belec is?
