Earlie, You are posting to a post. <g> Great piece by Gretchen. It is amazing how much the media allows to slip by without any investigation whatsoever.

Earlie, I did respond to your questions, I told you I wouldn't touch IBM stock with a ten foot pole. I do not understand why you continue to refer to these things as scams. The stock buy-back is not hidden from investors, nor is it called something else in order to deceive. The reason I don't own the stock are the numbers reported by IBM. I think their stock is overpriced for a huge slow-moving bureaucratically encumbered dinosaur. But any investor can determine that by using just half their brain power going over their financial reports. My objection to your take is the use of the word scam. They aren't scamming, they are reporting the numbers accurately. If investors chose to ignore those numbers and invest any way, that's their business. Sort of a "let the buyer beware" outlook. I hope this clears up my position, I did not think of my response as a rant. Regards and aloha.
