From TechWeb: Comcast Considers MediaOne Counteroffer - WSJ Comcast has been discussing with bankers the possibility of increasing its offer for MediaOne after AT&T issued an unsolicited bid for the company last week, the Wall Street Journal reported on Monday. The paper quoted sources as saying Comcast had been called by potential "white knights" including Microsoft's Bill Gates. ..... Also, Paul Allen has been contacted regarding as an outside investor. That would be sweet! Why? Paul Allen owns Charter, Charter employs WGAT technology, and is a stockholder.
