Jim -
I also have a number of friends among the DELL server team. They did a great job starting from nothing, and have developed a decent presence, but their share has come at the expense of IBM and HP and not CPQ. They looked good partly because they had no presence and were able to piggyback small server sales onto desktop accounts. But as they got a more visible share, the growth slowed. They did not achieve their growth goals in 1998 and need to do better in 1999. They still have only a small fraction of the business - I believe that the 1Q99 IDC server numbers will show that CPQ has gained share and that CPQ still has more than 4 times the business that DELL has.

A great source for all things tube is a publication called Glass Audio. Their address is

Glass Audio
PO Box 876
Peterborough NH 03458-0876
Phone 603 924 9464

Also try an outfit that sells lots of tubes and other old electronics parts:
Antique Electronics Supply
6221 South Maple Ave
Tempe AZ 85283
phone 602 820 5411

Vintage Hi-Fi has lots of tubes especially older hard to find items. They are in Italy - I think the address is 63031 Castel di Lama. Their phone is 39-736-812118

Hope that helps - good luck on those tubes.
