Thanks for your info about Atmel's product and markets. Clearly they have diversified and are selling into some high-growth, high-margin markets (telecom, networking). Smartcard also looks like it could evolve into a nice business. As far as Playstation goes, if Atmel provides only one relatively low-priced chip for the relatively high-priced device, the revenue potential may not be that great despite the apparent size of the market. Does that make any sense to you?
