Fireball's a Blazing, But Expensive, Drive
However, when it comes to price,
the Fireball EX 12.7GB trips: At $359, it costs 2.8 cents per MB. The
DiamondMax 4320 costs the same and offers an additional 4.5GB (for a cost
of 2.1 cents per MB).

We've found Quantum's Fireball drives to be highly reliable. If the Maxtor
DiamondMax 4320 isn't available, the Quantum Fireball EX 12.7GB is a
good second choice.

Does anyone have an opinion on how MXTR's technology stacks up against WDC/IBM's. Seems to me that since technology seems to gotten ahead of demand, MXTR's position as the low cost producer is an enviable one.
