A half a mill is a lot of money but I doubt it's a make-it-or-break-it for Staiano (what was his annual salary plus bonus?).

1/2 million a year + 750000 options at strike of 13.33 over 5 years + a few perks like a furnished apartment in DC, access to corporate jet and a car. They cut out the bonus bit last year.
