nihil, I am referring to the NATIONAL DEBT.
I took your advice and went to the US treasury site where the United States Treasury Department itself provides this information for public record. Here is the link. You state that the deficit has been declining. Maybe you should notify the Treasury dept. that their figures are wrong. It has not declined since 1957 and estimates call for further increase in this debt. I am not creating this information these are facts whether accepted or not. ustreas.gov
