I guess not. PIVANEX is pivaloyl-oxy-methyl butyrate derivative, the some pro-drug formulation which is usage by GILD in Preveon and PMPA, and some others pro-drug formulation. Initially I thought that it was cis-retinoic acid derivative but based on TTP SEC files and other information I figure out that it was pivaloyl pro-drug formulation. Which is good because it increase drug cells penetration/absorption as well as t1/2 (clearing rate) increase significantly. Miljenko
