Politicians are addicted to new taxes, fees, contributions, etc. The latest confiscatory measure pushed through by the anti-tobacco lobby should serve as an example for a new set of taxes on an unpopular group.

All politicians (and only politicians!) should have their personal income taxes forcibly increased every time they pass a new tax/ fee law. The extra revenues should be used for public campaigns explaining the evils and benefits of taxation to the public at-large. "It's for the children!"
