No, I don't see a quick end unless Milosevic suddenly caves in. Looks like he has opted for self-destruction rather than compromise. But he probably reckons he is finished in Serbia if he gives in, and the next likely destination is The Hague if his own people toss him out on his backside.

Once the Yugo army units run out of gas and they can't move without an Apache or A-10 chasing them down the road, they will start to disintegrate into bands of armed thugs. That's the largest-scale operation the JNA has mounted in 50 years anyway. I am convinced they won't be a match for NATO ground forces.

I just hope it doesn't come to that - but it might. Time frame - we could be at this for several more months at this rate.

Roger, have you opened the Genuine Down Home All You Can Eat Crowhouse Restaurant yet? This is really nuts. I opened a small short on the DIA just under 100 and I will add at 115 and 120 if necessary. This has to snap sooner or later, back down to at least 10,000 or so.

This is the first time all year I have felt comfortable shorting the main indexes. When Alcoa trades like AMZN we are in trouble.
