Victor, I believe that the "Markdown" feature of Onsale's patent covers a price declining format. The electronic auction system also includes a "markdown" feature, wherein the electronic auction system of the present invention awards merchandise to buyers who place orders at the currently posted selling price. The item remains on sale until the available quantity is purchased. If a certain sales volume is not achieved in a specified period of time, the electronic auction system automatically reduces the price by a set amount or a set percentage and updates the merchandise catalog page accordingly.
