I agree on the bandwidth and selection...the real interest will be the dutch auction style and the interactivity...the sign up problem could be HUGE but some of these investors will love that!

How kind of you to think ahead. Everybody that hasn't already registered, please do so by going here

bid.com

As for bandwidth problems, there won't be any.

I have designed business sites myself and know all the things that can go wrong regarding slow loading etc. I have tested the Bid.com site for load time and it is incredibly fast.

As for GoNorth's suggestion that BIDS should use Victoria's Secret models instead of the comedian, well that would take up way too much bandwidth!!! I'm glad GoNorth is not responsible for setting up the site. Whew!

Go BIDS!

Lola:))

GoNorth,

like I said, why don't you visit BIDS' website.

>> limited selection with no broad appeal - it's only an hour auction for JC!! No broad appeal?

What about a signed baseball from Clemens - a future hall of famer. Of course, no broad appeal, Roger who?

What about a signed NY jersey from Gretzky - a future hall of famer. Of course, no broad appeal, Wayne who?

What about a commemorative plaque for Gretzky - again, Wayne who?

Sorry folks for responding to this, this...many words come to mind but none fit to print. Won't happen again.
