I don't disagree with you that libertarianism can be parodied, possibly more than most political philosophies. A lot of libertarians believe so strongly in private property that they think everything in the world should belong to someone, even what are now wild animals. I recall once asking a fellow libertarian how we'd keep track of which fish belonged to whom; he suggested brands, and fences. He was a city boy, from the Bronx. He really was serious.

But that's how seriously libertarians feel about private property.
