Who controls the media? Well, I think that basically we control it. The news is a business. Businesses want to make a profit. If we didn't want what they are handing us, they would have to change, because WE control the pursestrings. Public opinion controls what is shown to us by the media. And now then, for a history lesson. Did you know that back in Medieval times that there different crafts formed what were known as Guilds? Did you also know that in those Guilds no Jews were allowed to join? Do you happen to know what the ONLY avenue that was left open for the Jews to persue? It was moneylending. So if the Jews happen to be good in business, those medieval guildsman are the ones who were the cause. Isn't it ironic? The Jews are criticized for being successful at making money, and yet it was our Christian forebears who forced them into that position. You and I do agree on one thing. I think that the Palestinians have as much right to live in Israel as the Israelis do. I also think that had the Palenstinians been treated more fairly that there would be less animosity over there. But then, on the other hand, if the Nazis had treated people more fairly, things would've been better too. It's a never-ending circle. It all boils down to one thing.....there is only one law that nations and people need to follow...and that is the Golden Rule. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Now, come on Emile....you profess to be so Christian....yet how would you like it if someone continually bashed YOUR nationality or leveled accusations at YOUR religion? You are ignoring the very principle upon which Christianity is supposed to rest. You are ignoring the very word of Christ himself. Christ, whom you claim to love so much. As to Kosovo....if the right thing is being done over there, then why do I feel so sick? At first my thought was that we have to stop the Serbs from killing their countrymen. I still think that....but I didn't realize at the time that the Serbs also had their history of being killed. Sorry, but my interest has lain more in American history. But then I start reading the websites where ordinary Serbs talk of their fears, their hopes, their dreams....and you know what? They sound just like me. And then I listen to the refugees, and their fears and hopes and dreams...and you know what? They sound just like me. And then I see them killing each other, and then I see us killing them...and then I just get sick...and so very, very sad. Juanita
