You are such a good mother. You are the kind of mother that makes the rest of us take to drink. But, don't let me make you feel guilty, or anything.

<< Have you ever tried to make a fascinating tape out of a swim meet? >>

Although I'm a still-photographer by hobby and have taken thousands
of photos and slides, I've never been involved in video photography.
But I can imagine that editing video of swim meets or anything
else could be a tedious project. I base that on having watched/
endured unedited home videos on more than one occasion. :)

With my slides, I edit them down to a bare minimum before showing
them to anyone, and it seems to work ... no one has ever dozed
off while watching them, so far. Or come to think of it, maybe
I have polite friends.

A bit of photography advice to parents . . . along with the
video photography of your kids, be sure to take still photos
regularly as well. Down the road, you'll be glad you did.
There's something about capturing a fraction of a second in time
that's as compelling, in a different sort of way, as video
photography.

End of Photography Class for today . . .
