Shrinks,

"If the board makers in Taiwan continue to push the 133 Mhz SDRAM and Intel slips again I think Rambus could be in trouble."

A lot of "ifs" there. How about this - If intel doesn't back pc133, it won't go anywhere.

"- the DRAM manufactures do not want to make Rambus and would rather
stick with the SDRAM's, much easier to make and lower cost"

Samsung, the worlds largest dram supplier, is ready to go now and sounds well prepared to capture a large market share and handsome profits. We know micron has 500 million from intel and will begin shipping in the 4th qtr.

"- most of the PC growth is in the sub $1k boxes and this segment will not support a memory technology that add's hundreds of $$'s to the
the cost of the box"

the bulk of all pc sells is in the 1500 to 2200 price range. There are no facts whatsoever on the cost of rdram box vs. sdram. hundred's of dollars is negative spin. Consider the Source of the projection!!
the cost of rdram will drop rapidly.

"- a lot of the box makers are not happy with Intel and would love an
opportunity to beat Intel on this issue"

More negative spin, nothing specific. Fact - Dell and Compaq are supporting rambus. Compaq's alpha chip will use rambus.
