I guess that should a considered a design flaw in those systems, since you can't go buy one with L3. This stupid argument is pretty much the same as saying that a PII-300 should be considered "loaded and stacked" when compared to a K6-300 in an otherwise identical comparable system because the PII has 1/2 speed L2. Personally, I suggest you stop whining about the whole thing and move on with your life. Spend some time thinking about creative ways to explain away the K7 benchmarks you'll see shortly--you know, the ones where not only the integer but also the FPU performance crushes that of any Intel core.
